Abstract

In July 1906, sermons preached at the Nazarene Tabernacle challenged the message of the Azusa Street Revival. In December, P. F. Bresee publically moved to differentiate the identity of the Church of the Nazarene from the Apostolic Faith Movement. First presented at the Wesleyan Studies Group session on "Unity/Disunity in the Wesleyan Family" of the American Academy of Religion on November 23, 2015.
