Abstract

What is the church to do? In today’s fast-paced world, with increased strife about climate change and the growing disparity between rich and poor, religious institutions seem to contribute to as many problems as they claim to solve. Our essay project brings nine Christian ecologists, economists, and ecclesiologists on faculty at Olivet Nazarene University together to talk about what it means to think of the church less as a place or an event and more as God’s people empowered to make a difference in our earthly home.
