These are letters to Mr. Tim Kelleher and Mr. J.R. Black from Nani Bhowmik from the Illinois State Water Survey. Dr. Bhowmik mailed an interim report on the Kankakee River project to the two recipients along with the letters

J.R. Black was an advocate for the conservation of the Kankakee River and spent many years collecting data and working with multiple organizations to preserve the Kankakee River Valley.
