Abstract

The photo was taken in a rural area of the Kankakee River. Residential and farming areas are pictured. This 34"x23" foam posterboard photo was donated to Olivet Nazarene University by the Black family. The original was not retained due to poor condition.

J.R. Black was an advocate for the conservation of the Kankakee River and spent many years collecting data and working with multiple organizations to preserve the Kankakee River Valley.
