Abstract

This report was donated to Olivet Nazarene University by the Black family. It talks about the history of the Kankakee River and the factors that have caused extra sedimentation in the river. This is a proposal to monitor and someday fix this problem.

The Kankakee River, located in northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana, has undergone extensive changes over the South Bend, Indiana, and the mouth is the confluence of the Kankakee with the Des Plaines River, where those two rivers become the Illinois River.
