Tonight, we gather as a community of faith and learning to mark the beginning of a new academic year and to celebrate our mission of providing an “Education With a Christian Purpose.” This year will be a significant year of prayer, planning and preparation as we seek God’s blessings and guidance for the future. This evening, we will focus on the firm foundation already in place for our work together.
The beginning of each semester represents both a significant challenge and a wonderful opportunity for all of us. There are eternal issues and destinies at work on our campus. Let us set our sights, with a singleness of purpose, on the opportunities which await us. May His grace enable each of us to give our very best, knowing that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.
We will also take a few moments this evening to recognize several individuals for their years of service to Olivet and to welcome the new members of our faculty and staff. Also, please note the printed descriptions of significant accomplishments and milestones on the part of various members of the Olivet family.
We hope you will enjoy the evening. We are honored to serve with you as we look forward to a great year!
